Get Connected

The Auraria Library has five wireless networks available depending on your affiliation:

  • Auraria Library and Auraria Library 5Ghz: Wifi access for all guests of the library no matter your institutional affiliation.
  • CU Denver: Secure WiFI access for CU Denver students, faculty, and staff.
  • MSUDenver: Secure WiFI access for MSU Denver students, faculty, and staff.
  • AHEC Staff: Secure WiFI access for AHEC employees.

CCD does not have their own secure network available in the library. CCD students, faculty, and staff should use the Auraria Library or Auraria Library 5Ghz networks for Wifi access.

How To Connect

Anyone visiting Auraria Library can use the Auraria Library or Auraria Library 5GHz network for wireless access.
You may review the following instructions for detailed wireless access information regarding your specific campus affiliation and device.

Auraria Library | Auraria Library 5Ghz

Anyone visiting Auraria Library can use the Auraria Library or Auraria Library 5Ghz network for wireless access:
Auraria Library= use this network if your device only has 2.4 GHz capability or you have an older device.
Auraria Library 5GHz = use this network if you are using an Apple Device or have set your computer to automatically connect to a 5Ghz network.

Apple iOS Devices

  • Select Settings
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Select Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
  • The patron will now be connected to the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, tap on the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network, “Forget This Network,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

Apple macOS Devices

  • Click on WiFi icon in top menu bar.
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Select Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
  • The patron will now be connected to the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, tap on the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network, “Forget This Network,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

Android 11 and 12 Devices (includes Chromebook)

  • Select Settings.
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Click on Network & Internet.
  • Select Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
  • The patron will now be connected to the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, press and hold the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network, choose “Forget,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

Android 10 and older Devices (includes Chromebook)

  • Select Settings.
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Click on Network & Internet.
  • Select Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
  • The patron will now be connected to the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, press and hold the Auraria Library/Auraria Library 5Ghz wireless network, choose “Forget,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

CU Denver

The CU Denver wireless network is available for all CU Denver students, faculty, and staff to connect to. In order to connect to this network, CU Denver affiliates will need to log in using their university credentials.

Apple iOS Devices

  • Select Settings
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Select CU Denver wireless network.
  • Enter CU Denver Username and Password used for UCDAccess or Webmail
    • Ex. Username: turchr
  • If this is the first time connecting to the CU Denver network, the patron will be prompted to accepted a security certificate. As long as the certificate is coming from dc-acs.ucdenver.pvt, click Trust.
  • The patron will now be connected to the CU Denver wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, tap on the CU Denver wireless network, “Forget This Network,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

Apple macOS Devices

  • Click on WiFi icon in top menu bar.
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Select CU Denver wireless network.
  • Enter CU Denver Username and Password used for UCDAccess or Webmail

    • Password = Patron’s University Username
  • Click Save.
  • The patron will now be connected to the CU Denver wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, press and hold the CU Denver wireless network, choose “Forget,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

Android 10 and older Devices (includes Chromebook)

  • Select Settings.
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.

MSU Denver

The MSU Denver wireless network is available for all MSU Denver students, faculty, and staff to connect to. In order to connect to this network, MSU Denver affiliates will need to log in using their NetID/Email credentials.

Apple iOS Devices

  • Select Settings
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Select MSU Denver wireless network.
  • Enter MSU Denver NetID or full email address and password
    • Ex. NetID: rturch4 or Email: rturch4@msudenver.edu
  • If this is the first time connecting to the MSU Denver network, the patron will be prompted to accepted a security certificate. As long as the certificate is coming from winad.msudenver.edu, click Trust.
  • The patron will now be connected to the MSU Denver wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, tap on the MSU Denver wireless network, “Forget This Network,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

AHEC Staff

The AHEC wireless network is only available for AHEC Staff . In order to connect to this network, AHEC employees will need to connect using their AHEC username and password.

Apple iOS Devices

  • Select Settings
  • Make sure WiFi is turned on.
  • Select AHEC Staff wireless network.
  • In the Username field, enter AHEC login credentials.
  • If this is the first time connecting to the AHEC Staff network, the patron will be prompted to accepted a security certificate. As long as the certificate is coming from an ahec.edu address, click Trust.
  • The patron will now be connected to the AHEC Staff wireless network.
    • If the patron is still having trouble connecting, tap on the AHEC Staff wireless network, “Forget This Network,” and then try reconnecting with the steps above.

Trouble connecting to the network?

  • Restart your device.
  • Forget the network you are trying to connect to and then reconnect.
  • Run operating system updates.
  • For Laptops: Update network drivers.

In-Person

  • Visit the Ask Us Desk
    The Ask Us Service Desk is located on the first floor of the Library and provides in-person help by answering questions about the Library, Campus, or three Institutions. This service also loans anatomical items, technology items (such as phone charges and calculators), plus course reserves, or textbooks, for some classes.

  • Research Consultations
    Research consultations are for in-depth and lengthy discussions about research questions. Please use Schedule a Research Consultation Form to request an appointment. We can help you out via Zoom or over the phone. Due to the level of preparation needed, appointments should be made 48 hours in advance. If you need immediate help, please use our 24/7 chat service.
