The Auraria Library Special and Digital Collections Department encompasses collections of unique and special materials ranging from manuscripts to audiovisual objects. Various regions and cultures are represented by our collections, though we focus primarily on materials relating to our Core Collecting Themes, including the history of Auraria Campus and the neighborhood preceding it; Latinx Experience; Asian-American Experience; and Civic Reform and Activism.
The newly renovated reading room is open to anyone who wishes to make use of Special Collections' unique holdings.
The Auraria Library Special & Digital Collections Department works on a daily basis to collect, describe, curate, preserve, and promote rare, unique, and campus-created content.
