The Innovation Garage is here to facilitate imagining, designing, creating, and building. Current Auraria Campus affiliates can come together in a low-stakes, DIY environment where we give you the time and tools to work on your projects.
The flexible layout, abundant natural light, and ample collaborative tools provide a physical and mental space to enable you to bring a fresh perspective to any project or group meeting.
Some of the technical machines require scheduled training prior to use. Please see the full list of offerings below for more details on how to get started using our space!
Who can use the Innovation Garage and how?
Current students, staff, or faculty of CU Denver, MSU Denver, or CCD can use the Innovation Garage in the Auraria Library. All users need to take equipment and safety training prior to scheduling independent time.
Collaboration stations do not require prior training to reserve.
The Innovation Garage has a bookable station for student exploration. This includes a large workbench with up to 6 seats, and a laptop hookup display monitor.
Please note, this is not a private space and other stations in the Innovation Garage may be in use. For the Library’s regular study rooms please visit our group study room reservations.
The maximum time that can be reserved per day is two hours. You must be a current student, staff, or faculty of CU Denver, MSU Denver, or CCD to reserve. The group collaboration station is for group use and must be occupied by a group of 2 or more. If two or more people are not present, you will be asked to relocate. For ALL reservations, the reservation holder with their campus ID and at least one additional member of the group must check-in at the Innovation Garage.
