The Ask Us Desk is centrally located on the first floor of the Library, and can easily be accessed from both Lawrence street or 10th street entrance.
The Library has three Classrooms on the first floor: Collaborative Classroom (room 116), the Engaged Learning Classroom (room 111), and general Classroom (room 127).
There are 4 Computer Labs in the Library. North Computing, South Computing, and Research Computing are located on the first floor. West Computing is located on the second floor.
The Digital Media Studio (room 129) is located close to the group study rooms and the Research Computing area on the first floor.
The Discovery Wall is situated at the heart of the Library’s first floor, and right across from the Ask Us Desk.
The King Faculty Room (room 130), on the first floor, features windows that look out on to Curtis Street.
There are 12 group study rooms in the Library. 4 rooms (130a, 130b, 120c, 130d) are in the southeast corner of the 1st floor.
6 rooms (210a, 210b, 210c, 210d, 210e, 21of) are in the northwest corner of the 2nd floor, and 2 more rooms (210g, 210h) are on the west side of the 2nd floor. The Room 210h is designated for students with disabilities. Please contact the Ask Us Desk to reserve room 210h.
Room 108 is located on the first floor along the 10th Street side of the building and near the 10th street entrance.
The Innovation Garage (room 102) is located on the first floor. After entering the building from the 10th Street Entrance, it is the first room on your left.
The Library has two research consultation rooms available: room 126 and room 128. Both rooms are located in the southeast corner of the first floor, and close to the Research Computing area.
The newly renovated Special Collections' reading room, located on the second floor, is open to anyone who wishes to make use of Special Collections' unique holdings.
The Quiet Study Space (room 250) is located on the Library’s second floor, in the southeast corner.
Assitive Technology Workstations: Auraria Library has six Assistive Technology Workstations. On the first floor, there are 3 in the North Computing and 1 in the South Computing. On the second floor, there is one in the West Computing and 1 ADA/Assistive workstation in study room 210h. Please contact the Ask Us Desk for assistance with bookign the assistive technology workstations.
The new Interactive Auraria Library Floor Map is developed for improving your experience with using the Library floor maps to locate learning and study spaces, finding book & media to check out, and doing more.

Ask Us Desk
Located on the first floor of the Library, the Ask Us Desk provides a number of core services including: borrowing and returning materials, technology checkout; getting course reserves; paying fines/fees, and asking for help, etc.
The Library has two research consultation rooms available: 126 and 128. Research consultation service is available by appointment for Auraria campus students, faculty, and staff who seek in-depth assistance on using library resources for course projects, theses or original research.
The Auraria Library Innovation Garage provides high quality 3D printing, large format printing, and vinyl cutting services in support of project-based learning and research. The Innovation Garage also serves as a support space for multimedia projects.
Nine Study Alcoves are located at the south end of South Courtyard. More study spaces with comfortable sitting and beautiful view of the courtyard now are available first come, first served.
Auraria Library has three classrooms that host information literacy instruction sessions: the Collaborative Classroom (Room 116), the Engaged Learning Classroom (Room 111) and Classroom 127. These rooms feature high-definition projectors, laptops, marker boards, and other technology that is conductive to active learning.
The Discovery Wall is a multi-panel, high definition flatscreen display paired with a speaker system and a flexible seating area for lounging, presentations, and interactive events.
Auraria Library has 12 group study rooms that may be reserved by students, faculty, and staff. Each room has a whiteboard, electrical outlets, tables and chairs, a large screen, and wireless internet access.

The Ask Us Service Desk is located on the first floor of the Library and provides in-person help by answering questions about the Library, Campus, or three Institutions. This service also loans anatomical items, technology items (such as phone charges and calculators), plus course reserves, or textbooks, for some classes. Research Consultations
Research consultations are for in-depth and lengthy discussions about research questions. Please use Schedule a Research Consultation Form to request an appointment. We can help you out via Zoom or over the phone. Due to the level of preparation needed, appointments should be made 48 hours in advance. If you need immediate help, please use our 24/7 chat service.
