The Auraria Library is located in downtown Denver, and serves the students, faculty, and staff of three leading urban institutions: University of Colorado Denver; Metropolitan State University of Denver; and Community College of Denver.
We strive to create a welcoming environment that fosters equity, diversity, and inclusion and nurtures creativity and learning. We are deeply committed to ensuring equitable access to knowledge and information from diverse perspectives for everyone as we build a shared vision that challenges existing notions of the library and sparks discovery and curiosity about the world around us.

The Auraria Library will be an indispensable partner in the educational experiences of the students, faculty, and staff of the Auraria campus.

- To support the diverse populations of the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado, Denver in achieving academic success.
- To meet users wherever they are by providing access to information, services, and expertise 24/7.
- To teach research skills that enable and inspire life-long learning.

Stewardship: We pursue our responsibilities and commitments to campus with integrity as good stewards of our human, environmental, physical, digital, and financial resources.

Do You Know?
- The Auraria Library building was designed in 1974 by internationally recognized architect Helmut Jahn.
- The Library collections include approximately 574,000 print books, 326,000 eBooks, 93,000 online journals, 99,000 streaming videos, and over 300 databases.
- The Library provides a wide range of places to study including study rooms, outdoor courtyards, study alcoves, and the Deep Quiet Study Room.
- There is a cafe located in the Library.
