What’s in it?
Films for Action contains 1,000 documentaries, 5,000 videos, and 4,000 articles. Materials cover a range of topics, including pro-social cultural movements, environmental stewardship, and post-growth economics, many published in the 21st century.
Why should you use it?
Explore unique perspectives on human rights. Users are encouraged to add their own videos and articles, which are then screened before publishing. Mainly run by volunteers, Films for Action is committed to supporting a media ecosystem that elevates previously unheard voices.
Who should use it?
Journalism, media, and film students may be inspired by unique perspectives. Advocate groups and policymakers may be inspired by stories and strategies for changemaking.
Why use a database?
When you use a specific database, rather than a search engine or discovery tool, you often can find more relevant sources. For example, subject databases include sources about that subject only, rather than a general search engine or discovery tool that includes information about everything.
