Plastics are ubiquitous in today's world. From microplastics in the snows of the arctic to rafts of plastic objects floating and degrading in the oceans, they are everywhere and many processes have been developed to reduce, reuse and recycle this almost accidental discovery. There are start-ups to collect floating plastics in the oceans, efforts to identify removing plastics from the food chain, building with plastic, tracking plastics and their effects on wildlife, and reducing our use of plastics.
