And over 115,000,000 viewed and/or attended at least one National Basketball Association (NBA) game. The sports industry revenue worldwide in 2022 was $403bn. With such a large industry, many disciplines are involved in the production, management, and promotion of sports. From marketing to medicine to education to art and psychology, many different types of skills and expertise are needed to make the business of sports run.

Auraria campus institutions teach and research sports through a variety of degrees and departments.
