
Role in the Library
Michelle's role in the library as the Access Services Manager is responsible for developing and managing circulation processes, maintaining the reserves, DVD, and technology lending collections, and collecting data to monitor and recommend improvements in all of these areas. She also staffs both the Ask Us desk on the first floor, and the Ask Me desk on the second floor of the Auraria Library.
More About
Michelle has worked in academic and research libraries for 5+ years in various roles. She began her library career in Jacksonville, Florida in access services and outreach services. After she started her graduate program for Information and Library Science, Michelle moved to Denver and began her role as a Reference and Instruction graduate assistant at Red Rocks Community College for 2 years. Upon graduation, she worked at Regis University's Dayton Memorial Library as a temporary Reference and Instruction Librarian before joining the Auraria Library staff in March of 2021. Michelle enjoys working with new technologies and exploring their uses in education.
