Library Director

Auraria Library Appoints Keith Teeter as Interim Director

Keith Teeter has been appointed the interim director of the Auraria Library beginning June 1, as the library prepares to bring finalists to campus for the long-term role this month.

Teeter has been the Auraria Library’s associate director of research, learning, and user services division, overseeing 20 faculty librarians and staff. He joined the library in 2017 after serving at the business library at CU Boulder, and before that in library access and public service departments in Kansas and Colorado.

He will assume the director role upon the departure of Cinthya Ippoliti, director since 2019, who departs the library May 31 for a role in California.

“I am honored to fill Cinthya’s shoes as we wish her farewell, and I look forward to carrying forward her efforts in support of students, faculty, and staff across the Auraria Campus as we await the appointment of a new long-term director,” Teeter says.

Meanwhile, four finalists have been identified for the long-term director role, based on a robust candidate pool and a search committee process cochaired by Marvin Lynn, dean of the School of Education Human Development at CU Denver, and Catherine Kleier, associate vice president of faculty affairs at MSU Denver. These finalists will visit campus between May 14 and 23 and will participate in forums open to the entire campus community during their visit. More information is available on the director search webpage.
