Role in the Library

Alejandro's role is to connect people with the resources, spaces, services, and technology that will help them with their research.  He also supports the educational missions by developing collections and teaching patrons how to use the library effectively.

More About

Alejandro is a Denver native.  He attended Regis University as an undergraduate student and received his Masters in Library Science from the University of Denver.  After graduation, Alejandro joined the Peace Corps in El Salvador where he worked as a Municipal Development volunteer.

His research interests include storytelling, underserved library populations, and career development. Alejandro wrote a memoir called A Life in Five Years. It is a collection of stories detailing the process of coming out, hiking the pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago, joining the Peace Corps, and his experience with thyroid cancer. The chapters in this book explore the themes of identity, finding meaning, familial relationships, adventure, and illness.
