In an effort to represent the diverse backgrounds of our student body, we have unique collections in Latinx history, Japanese-American studies, and women's studies. We also maintain dozens of small manuscript, photograph, and ephemera collections relating to various historical events. Among these events are the internment of Japanese-Americans in Colorado during World War II, labor strikes in Denver and Colorado, and the rich history of Auraria Campus, which was one of the largest multi-ethnic neighborhoods in Denver. We collect rare, unique, and fine press books on various subjects including titles related to our Core Collecting Themes; art, architecture, and design; and literature of all genres and eras.
